  • "no seventeenth century peformance has left a record, although this need not mean that the play went unproduced" (Arden, AW, 2019, p. 14)

  • 1598, maybe staged as "Loue labours wonne" (title mentioned by Francis Meres (Arden, AW, 2019, p.15)

  • 1606, dated by Edmond Malone, because of the beautiful speech to the sick king, and because of the satirical mention made of the puritans (Arden, AW, p.15)

  • 1609, maybe at the Blackfriars Theatre, King's Men, soon after the started to play there (see "Cornett"-discussion AW, p.14)
